Your weekly offering of writing/art prompts.
1. Liver paste makes everything easier to swallow in the canine life. What is the human equivalent?
2. Last week, travel was listed as miraculous. This week, miracles include ibuprofen, yoga stretches, luggage with wheels, snow that melts as soon as it hits the pavement.
3. Battle songs. What comes to mind first?
4. What forbidden place would you like to visit?
5. …And one photo prompt:

Happy Friday, everybody.
That photo just makes me smile, although I am clueless as to what type of creature I am viewing. I need something to smile about on this, once again, snowy morning here in Faribault.

That creature in the photo made me smile, too. There's a whole block of street art in a section of Santa Barbara at State and Mason that is really fun. I took a bunch of photos to share with my artist son.

Got to be chocolate. Battle songs?
Allons enfants de la Patrie/ le jour de gloire est arrive — Le Marseillaise bien sur 🙂
And for the photo prompt? I'm thinking… Oh it hurts!

Battle songs – it's the broadly-interpreted theme of the current pops concert series at Abby's high school. Agree about the chocolate!

Always chocolate. Dark. And liver paste might be magic for dogs but I can attest to the fact that as a school girl there was nothing that I could swap for a liverwurst sandwich (my father loved it, and mama made us all the same sandwiches – eeeuw.)
And the photo prompt? I have my eye(s) on you…

Hello,
I haven't been here in a while for 5 fragments.
1. Liver paste..hmmm..don't think I want to know?
2. I traveled this week as well, living out of a suitcase on wheels
3. First song that comes to mind “Love is a Battlefield”
4. Forbidden places hold mysteries too much to discover
5. Photo prompt..not sure how to capture one in a post..but, I do have some thoughts.

Liverwurst! I actually like that stuff. I blame my dad for that.

Welcome back! I love travel but am almost always glad to get back home.

Funny, Merlin won't eat the liver paste at the vet's. I think he knows there's medicine in it. But he's kinda picky. For humans, I'd say honey – and promises of chocolate.
Battle songs – I'm ex-Army, so the Caisson Song. (Over hill over dale we have hit the dusty trail, as the caissons go rolling along…)
Forbidden places? Hard to say, since National Geographic and Discovery have been darn near everywhere that used to be forbidden. Inside Cheyenne Mountain? 🙂
Love the photo prompt. Reminds me of something out of Monsters, Inc.

Someone else (not on the blog) mentioned Monsters, Inc., too. I think I'll have to watch that movie with my granddaughter.
I was wondering why no one has invented dog treats with pill pockets ready to stuff with whatever the vet sent home just this morning as we were putting the aforementioned liver paste onto meds for Truffles. Maybe I need to get on that.

They do make pre-made pill pockets. Treats with a hole in them to stuff the pill in. Try Petco or your local pet store. Not that Merlin will eat those either…
You might want to prescreen Monster's Inc before letting your granddaughter watch it. Some parts might be too scary for little ones, even if it is a cartoon. (Monsters in the closet, screaming, etc)

Well, how about that! 🙂 I'm going to go find some of those. Truffles will eat nearly anything, but somehow she knows when it's medicine alone.
Camille is enchanted with Elmo. Perhaps I'll stick with that for a while longer.
