First Five Fragments for Friday

Your weekly offering of writing/art/journal prompts:

1. Lingering smells from Thanksgiving dinner, morning sounds of five houseguests, and an extra dog for Friday morning.

2. Wishing for snow.

3. Who began the tradition of using a wishbone from the turkey to get a wish?

4. Stars seem closer in the dark skies of November.

5. Today is Shopping Mall Avoidance Day at our house.

We are, it seems, careening toward Christmas. Remember that “frazzled” looks good on no one.

  1. #2 – be careful what you wish for. Or wish in small quantities. 🙂

I love the November night skies – but it's damn cold standing out there staring up into space. Pretty, but cold.

  2. 1. Thanksgiving leftovers are my favorite!
    2. We didn't make a wish on the wishbone this year — I don't even know why.
    3. It's fireplace time, and I wish we had some snow, too.
    4. I might move my office to the couch so I can enjoy the fireplace all day.
    5. My husband would argue that I really need to get out of the house.
