First Five Fragments for Friday

Writing prompt for this week….

1. The man in the cowboy hat outside the St. Anthony Park Post Office seemed to have misplaced himself.

2. Fencing masks make me think of a fly’s face. Maybe just one eye of a fly, actually.

3. This year, I’m going to spend less time waiting for others.

4. My friend hates the little sticky labels on fresh fruit and the way they pull at the skin when she tries to remove them.

5. We don’t tell people we appreciate them often enough. Why?

And your fragments are….?

And your wishes for writing prompts for 2012 are….?

  1. Life itself is a writing prompt, isn't it. I enjoy seeing it through the camera lens and being prompted by the perspective I find there, so I'm wishing for lots of photo ops in my day to day living this year.

  2. I agree with number three! Of course I suffer from perpetual earlybirditis thanks to the U.S. Army. It's not hereditary, though. My kids never show up anywhere on time.

#5 – if we told them, we'd have to acknowledge how much we value them, a scary prospect.

  3. I am with you on numbers 3, 4, and 5…4 really speaks to me this morning as this just happened to me while I was preparing a pear for my morning snack. I enjoy your fragment idea and look forward to reading more of your blog!
